Program Description
Kristine Humphrey, doing business as Kristine Skates, is a private skating instruction business based in St. Louis, MO. This SMS program sends automated messages to clients who have provided explicit opt-in consent. Message types include:
- Lesson reminders approximately 30 hours before scheduled skating lessons
- Booking confirmations and updates when lesson requests are approved, rejected, or modified
- Schedule change notifications for cancellations or time changes
- Payment reminders for outstanding lesson balances
- Availability notifications for waitlisted clients when lesson times open
- One-time passcodes for account verification
- Public skate session reminders, sent the evening before a public skate session at a rink the user explicitly subscribed to from their account dashboard
- Stick & puck session reminders, sent the evening before a stick & puck session at a rink the user explicitly subscribed to from their account dashboard
Users can reply LESSONS for upcoming lessons, SCHEDULE for upcoming sessions at their subscribed rinks, or PAUSE / RESUME to temporarily halt session reminders. All messages identify the sender as Kristine Skates. Users can manage per-category notification preferences (SMS and/or email) from their account dashboard and may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Public skate and stick & puck reminders are not enabled at signup. They require a separate per-rink opt-in from the user's account dashboard at https://kristineskates.com/client/dashboard. Only sessions at rinks the user has explicitly subscribed to will trigger reminders.
Phone numbers are only collected from users who explicitly opt in to SMS. On every opt-in form, the mobile phone field is hidden by default and only appears when the user checks the SMS consent checkbox. A phone number cannot be submitted without explicit SMS consent.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Phone numbers are transmitted to Twilio solely as a delivery service provider and are not used for any marketing purposes.
Opt-In Method 1: Lesson Booking Form

During the lesson booking process, users provide their name, email, and an optional phone number. The SMS consent checkbox below is optional and unchecked by default — it is never pre-checked and is not required to complete a booking. Upon opting in, users immediately receive a confirmation SMS.

Opt-In Method 2: Account Registration

Opt-In Method 3: Waitlist Signup

When booking is paused or a service is not yet open for booking, users may join a waitlist to be notified when lesson times become available. The SMS consent checkbox below is optional and unchecked by default — it is never pre-checked and is not required to join the waitlist. Users who opt in receive a confirmation SMS and will receive availability notifications when lesson times open.
